Ralph C. Battista Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Lucy’s Church, Newark, on Thursday, June 19, at 11 am, followed by the Entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. The visitation is on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the LaMonica Memorial Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave. Livingston.

Born in Newark, Ralph lived in Bloomfield for many years before moving to East Hanover in 2003. He was a business owner best known as the owner of the Spring Deli in Bloomfield and as a TV repairman.

He was an avid supporter of St. Lucy’s Church in Newark where he sang in the choir for many years.

Ralph was predeceased by his parents Michael L. Battista, Sr. and Anna (nee Lombardi) and a brother, Michael Battista.

He is survived by his beloved wife Angelina (nee DiBella); his children, Michele Battista, Ralph Battista, Jr. and his wife Fran, and Maria Volante and her husband Michael; a brother Joseph, grandchildren Ralph III and Thomas Battista and Frank, Michael, and Nicholas Volante; Sister in Laws Rita Battista and Minnie DiPrenda and her husband Angelo; and many nieces and nephews.
