Paula Cassara

Paula Cassara (nee Grabowski) passed away suddenly on January 12, 2016 in Encinitas, CA with her loving family by her side. Visitation will be Friday, January 22,2016 from 1-4 & 6-8pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 Mt Pleasant Ave., Livingston. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, January 23 at St Joseph’s Church in West Orange at 10 am.

Paula was born in West Orange, NJ but lived most of her life in Essex Fells, NJ. She is a graduate of West Essex High School class of 1976. Paula spent her summers in Normandy Beach, NJ where she was a competitive sailor and avid water skier. Paula was a member of Essex Fells Country Club where she loved to compete as a golfer. Paula married her High School sweetheart Brian Cassara. She raised two beautiful daughters Caitlyn and Kristy and was there biggest fan while attending all of their college athletic events. Paula was also blessed with three wonderful grandchildren Londyn, Kennedy and Mali. Paula built a working career as owner of the Best Western Hotel in West Orange, where she has mentored many young employees as well as helping many families in need.

Paula is survived by her loving Husband Brian Cassara of thirty two years, daughters Caitlyn and Kristy, Son in law David Marone, Granddaughters Londyn, Kennedy, and Mali. She is also survived by her loving mother Cecelia Grabowski, and her siblings William and Barbra Grabowski, James and Joanne Grabowski, Laurie and Gary Bleakley and Chester and Cheryl Grabowski. Paula also leaves behind twelve nieces and nephews and her dogs Mia and Tillie.
