Michael Karp, age 74, passed away Dec. 19th, Thursday evening after a long illness. His wife of almost 50 years, Claudia, was by his side.
Raised in Bayonne until the age of 6, he then grew up in Vineland, NJ, graduating high school in 1963. Michael spent some time in the Philadelphia School of Arts and University of Minnesota at Bemidji. The Army called and he entered the National Guards.
Being a born salesman he followed in his father’s footsteps into the home improvement industry. Later on, he shone in the real estate industry.
Michael loved sailing, road trips, dogs (and cats), pastrami sandwiches and turkey joes; but most of all he loved his family and friends. His forte was making others laugh and putting smiles on their faces.
He is survived by his loving wife Claudia, his sons David and Jonathan, his daughter-in-law Erika , a his two grandchildren Paige and Hunter, the ultimate joys in his life.
