Martin E. Lynch, Jr., 53, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Born and raised in Livingston, Marty resided in Arizona, before recently moving back to New Jersey. Marty was a former Livingston Policeman, volunteer Fireman, and an active member of the Livingston First Aid Squad. He then worked for the Hudson, Morris, and Union County Prosecutor’s Office, retiring as a detective in 2011. He also worked for the Navajo County Attorney’s Office in Arizona, and was a volunteer firefighter with the Snowflake Fire Dept. He was proud to be a New Jersey Delegate for the National Narcotics Officers Associations Coalition, and was the past president of the New Jersey Narcotics Enforcement Officers Association, as well as a longtime member of the Essex County Emerald Society and the former Vice President of the PBA Local 250.
Marty was predeceased by his parents, Martin, Sr. and Joan Lynch. He is survived by his beloved wife, Michele, his children Daniel Lynch, Maryann Meyer, and Kimberly Capozzoli, his sister Susan (nee Bolton) Radsniak and her husband Raymond, nieces and nephews Pamela and Ray Radsniak, Serafina Spinella, and Tyler Cassini, as well as host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16 from 2-7 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marty’s name may be made to the Joan Dancy & PALS Foundation, Riverview Medical Center P. O. Box 8157, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
