Beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather

Mr. Martin Cohen, 73, of Clark, passed away on Sunday, August 2nd 2015 at Whispering Knoll Assisted Living in Edison, NJ. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 4th at 11:00am at Bernheim Apter Kreizman Suburban Funeral Home in Livingston, NJ. Shiva will be held Wednesday, August 5th and Thursday, August 6th in the afternoon and evening at his daughter Sharon's home.

Marty was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Clark, NJ. He was Director of Food Services at Elizabeth General Medical Center for 20 years, then moved on to be director of food services at a few other nursing homes until his retirement. He taught Kung-fu at the Metuchen YMCA during the 1970's.

Surviving are his brother, Arthur Cohen, his children Sharon Lokos and her husband Tim, Rhonda Brooks, Step-Daughter Lauren Badia and her husband Dave, and Step-Son John DeNoia. His 6 grandchildren Christopher, Zachary, Emily, Jason, Emma and James. He is pre-deceased by his wife Michele Cohen, and his father and mother Nathan and Lillian Cohen.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Haven Hospice, Edison NJ in Martin's memory.
