Martha A King, 84, of Livingston entered into eternal rest under the care of hospice on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 peacefully at home.
She is survived by her husband, George of 64 years and her five children, Diane, George, James, Richard, and Patricia, and her sister, Mary.
Born in Gary, Indiana on June 20, 1936, Martha lived in Livingston for 64 years, where she nurtured her family and raised five children. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother whose pride and joy was her family, always providing a warm, welcoming home. Martha was a lifelong active parishioner of Saint Philomena Parish in Livingston.
One of her greatest joys in life was being called ‘Grammy’ by her nine grandchildren.
Raised on a thoroughbred horse farm in Kentucky as a child, in 1996 Martha realized her lifelong dream when she and her husband George attended the Kentucky Derby in celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary.
A Catholic mass celebrating her life and resurrection will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 1st at Saint Philomena Church,386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
Arrangements are by Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home in Livingston.
