Mom, even though you were barely 5’ tall you were always a giant to me. I drew my strength from you as you always spoke your mind and stood your ground. You taught me to never let anyone walk on me and stand up for what I believe is right.

I wished I could’ve spent more time with you but the time I had is forever cherished in my mind.

I love you mom and will see you and dad again someday.

My beloved grandmother, 
one of the most special people in my life. There are no right words to describe what a privilege it was to be raised by her. She was a strong, generous, and loving woman. My earliest memories were going to the park, and coming home from school everyday to a wonderfully prepared meal. I remember going grocery shopping with her almost every other day to Pathmark and getting a slice of liverwurst from John in the deli department, and her crazy heavy foot reversing it out of Aunt Kim’s driveway on River Road. There were so many good times we had together gram and I will truly cherish each and every one of them. She loved to play 500 rummy and watch lifetime movies with me, even though she always complained about the commercials being too long. Even after I got older and moved out on my own she always made sure to have something prepared every time I came to visit whether it was her famous pot roast, stuffed vinegar peppers, peas and pasta, chicken fajitas, baked ziti, or ham and candied yams! I will surely miss scanning stacks of your scratch off tickets only to find winning tickets that you missed. Some of the last few talks we had were of her giving me advice and telling me to save my money and call my dad more. She always spoke her mind that’s for sure, which is just one of the qualities that made her so special. I will never forget the very last time we got to exchange “I love you too”. As I would always say…“yes gram… I know gram”. I know you are watching over me write this right now, so be sure to say hi to poppy for me I love you both forever and ever. 

So sorry, my prayers are with the entire Corbo family. Mrs Corbo was a amazing woman with such a kind and giving heart and truly cared about the people in her life.  I remember when my Mom passed away, I was just 15 years old and Christmas was no longer exciting for me as my Dad would give me his credit card to go out and buy my own gifts.  Every  Christmas Day I would receive a special suprise from Mrs Corbo and was so excited as I was able to open a suprise gift along with her amazing sweets she always baked,  she truly made my christmas exciting again, but that is the type of person she was always giving to everyone from deep down within  her heart.  Although I did not get to see her to much all she did for me as I was growing up will remain in my heart forever.  You will be truly missed,   but we are all lucky to have this beautifual angel to watch over all of us from heaven. Rest in Peace Mrs Corbo,  you are now with your husband forever,  till we meet again XO
