Mei was married for over 50 years to her devoted husband Wenche. Together they were very active with their church and sang in choir.
Survived by her two sons, Yi-Hung Chan and his Wife Karen and three children Peyton, Eli, and Zoey of Livingston, New Jersey and Son Yi-Tai Chan and his wife, Julia and their six children, Kevin, Sallee, Jillian, Jamie-Claire, Quinn and McKenzie. Mei loved being a grandmother and loved teaching her grandchildren things from knitting to making homemade dumplings. She will also be missed by her loving goddaughter Ann Harris whom she spent so much of her time with.
Jui-Mei had just recently retired from her job as a Dental hygienist at Rutgers school of dentistry which she worked for over 30 years. She was loved by all her students and was lovingly called “grandma” by many.
She loved keeping busy and would swim and go to the gym. Recently since retirement she took up belly dancing classes! She always said they only way to keep young is to stay active.
