Born in Orange, NJ, to the late Armondo and Lucille (nee Cortellacci) Battista, the family moved to Livingston in 1967 when Joey was just 2 years old.
Joey was currently the co-owner and project manager of BMC Construction, LLC in Orange.
“DJ Joey B”, as he was known in the music world, was a legendary nightclub DJ throughout NJ for the past 40 years. Simultaneously, he was an iconic rock & roll band drummer throughout NJ, dubbed “Joe Zep” since the early age of 15.
Joey never turned his back on a worthy cause. He generously and freely gave of his time and talent whenever he was called upon. He was greatly respected and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
