Jonathan Cohen entered this world with a contagious smile, deep dimples and beautiful big brown eyes that noticed the smallest of details. His passion for film and television began as a young child and blossomed over the years, culminating in his role as a talented Online Editor working for Law & Crime Productions in New York City.
Jon was born in Tarzana, California on October 8, 1984, to parents Carolyn Cohen and David Cohen, brother Isaac Cohen, and sisters Tamara Diaz and Tiffany Sikes. He was the youngest in our family bringing joy to his nieces Skylar and Caroline; his nephews Julian, Harrison, and Benjamin; and his handsome rescue dog Beau, who serendipitously shares the same name as his best friend Beau Wiggin. Jon loved photography, animals, laughter, fishing, hot sauce of any kind (the hotter the better), spending time with his family and friends, a juicy cheeseburger with duck fat french fries, a fine bourbon for his Old Fashioned, anything Stephen King, and watching his favorite films, shows, and comedians (the cruder the better) alongside all of us. Jon had a knack for impersonations and used his talents bringing characters to life while playing video games.
On his 39th birthday, Jon was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic appendiceal adenocarcinoma. He fought hard, never complained, and remained hopeful throughout his final year. Jon peacefully left us on September 12, 2024, surrounded by family. We are happy knowing Jon sailed on to see a familiar sunrise through sleepy eyes on blue bayou.
