I knew James for many years first as a member of Rotary and then as a member of of BelPres church. He was a polished gentleman devoted to his family, community  and church. I will miss him and his example.

Jim is a close friend and role model. I always found him to be kind, gentle, full of both wisdom & knowledge - a man of deep faith. I will miss him deeply. 
Jim spoke often of expressing his faith through loving acts of kindness. So, his family’s choice to honor him through donations to missions - local & global - is a very fitting way to honor this man of faith and compassion. 


A life well lived.   Bhaskar Uncle, I loved your warmth and good heartedness.   Glad that I got to spend some quality time with you and Aunty in LA last January and more recently enjoyed our whatsapp chats:-)    Your life experiences continue to inspire and motivate me. Bhaskar uncle and aunty have been special part of our family since our childhood. I have fond memories of uncles presence in almost all the important events in our family. The last I met him was at my sisters place in LA. It was such a blessing to have him and aunt at my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration. As a family we had a lovely time. I will remember him always with great fondness and respect. Miss you uncle. May your soul RIP.

I met Jim while working at Dean Witter.  He always was kind and considerate to all he came across.  My husband and I were at a Rene Fleming/Seattle Symphony Concert years ago, and some fortunate folks were seated on stage behind her and the piano.  There was Jim and his wife!  Later I asked him how he was so blessed  to have those wonderful seats.  He was a long time fan of Miss Fleming.  My sincere sympathy to his family and friends.  I'm very thankful to have known him. 

I met Jim at the University of Washington Bookstore many years ago. We discovered that we both came from New Jersey,Jim from Livingston and my husband and I from Maplewood.  Upon further conversation we realized that both of us knew Dr. Jim Breen. 
Jim was a gentle soul so dedicated to his wife and children. We probably passed one another in the skies traveling back and forth to the east coast to visit our children.
Rest In Peace,Jim and know that you were dearly loved and highly respected by Maryann and Barry Townsend of Mill Creek.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing; he was so nice, very kind, a true gentleman and a mentor to so many at Dean Witter.  I met Jim in 1996 when I began working for Dean Witter in Bellevue; Jim was well respected by all of those that worked with him, brokers and staff, always willing to help.  I can remember his assistant answering hisphone "Mr. Bhaskar's  office" and I thought how professional that sounded, Jim was deserving of that greeting. When Jim retired he would stop by the office and everyone stopped what they were doing to talk with Jim.  When my boys were playing baseball we would frequently see Jim walking in downtown Kirkland; he always stopped to watch my son play baseball.  I will never forget his smile or his laugh, again, a true gentleman and a gift for all of us that were lucky enough to know him.  Rest in peace my friend, until next time.
