Irene Miller

Irene Miller (Mazur), beloved matriarch of the Miller family was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. She attended Douglas College where she met her husband of 52 years. Irene’s love and character were instrumental in shaping her greatest legacy, her family.

Wife and partner of Joel (deceased), their life together took them on many adventures from Newark, to Fords, to Edison, to Rio de Janiero, Brazil, to Warren and to Frenchman’s Creek in Palm Beach Gardens Florida. Family and friends were everything to her. Irene had a love of life and of living. She had a special affinity for canasta and mah-jongg. Irene was a philanthropic person who supported many causes including, Rutgers, Local Hospitals, Synagogues, and Cancer Research.

Irene is survived by her 3 sons, Jason, Michael and Eric and 3 wonderful daughters-in-law Philippa, Dana and Yael. Irene was an amazing Nana to her grandchildren Steven, Gabby, Rachel, Joseph, Sarah, Allie, Sofia and Julia all of whom were a core part of her life.

A funeral service for Irene will be held Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, New Jersey 07039. Following the funeral service will be a burial at 2:30 PM at Congregation B'nai Jeshurun Cemetery, 1347 Lower Road, Hillside, New Jersey 07208.
