Edward O. Zielke, age 74, of Livingston, NJ, died suddenly on Friday September 4, 2020. A Funeral . Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Philomena’s Church 396 S. Livingston Avenue Livingston, NJ, on Thursday September 10, 2020 at 10 AM. A private cremation will follow. The family will receive their friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue Livingston, NJ, on Wednesday September 9, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Ed was a police officer, serving the community of Livingston for 40 years before his retirement as a Lieutenant in 2011. He proudly served his country in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War. Ed was an avid sportsman; he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his best pal, his dog, Colt Commander. He was a member of the Lucky Strike Sportsmans Club, the Livingston Elks, Knights of Columbus and for many years served as an usher at St. Philomena’s Church.

Edward is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 40 years, Mary Ann Zielke, his devoted children Christine (Joseph) Fischetti, Catherine Zielke and Daniel Zielke, and his loving grandchildren Taylor and Joseph FischettiHe is also the father to Edward Zielke, Jason Zielke and Lauren (Alex) Matrale, from a previous marriage, and grandfather to Julia and Madison Zielke, and Alex and Dylan Matrale.
