Doris Gomez

Born on November 26, 1946 in Bogota, Colombia, to Leonor and Jose Del Carmen Gomez, Doris Gomez was one of seven siblings.

She came to the United States in 1973 and settled in New Jersey, where she raised her daughter Adriana Rivera, who grew up to be a pillar of strength and kindness.

Doris was delighted by fashion and style. She was independent, strong-willed and decisive—a woman whose presence will not be forgotten.

In the words of Pope Francis, “Mercy is the force that reawakens us to new life and instills in us the courage to look to the future with hope.”

A prayer service for Doris will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039. Following the prayer service will be a burial from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ 07031.
