Livingston resident, retired school teacher
Carol D. Perry, 68 of Livingston passed away on July 11th 2015. She was born in New York City, raised in Verona and was a long time Livingston resident. Carol loved life and loved helping others. She was a elementary school teacher for 37 years in Montville Township prior to her retirement. After she retired she was still very active in the community as a board member with the Livingston Municipal Alliance Committee, which develops and supports a variety of programs focusing on the prevention of illegal use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco throughout the schools and community. She also volunteered for the Hospice Medical program throughout the local area for those who were in need.
Carol enjoyed gardening in her yard, reading novels, completing the daily crossword puzzles in the paper and playing “Words with Friends”. She loved playing Mahjong with her friends and regularly taught others how to play it at the Livingston Community Center. She often attended the various music and art festivals held throughout the Essex County Parks. She took great pride being a life long New York Yankees fan.
Carol is survived by her husband, Scott of 43 years, her two sons Jonathan 39, and Jason, 32. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to help cure Raynauds Syndrome.
