Anne C. Morgan, 87, died peacefully at her Livingston home on Friday, August 12. Anne was born in Atlantic City, NJ on September 29, 1934 to Joseph and Anna Cribbin. Later, with her family, she moved to Orange, NJ and graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy. In 1956 Anne married William H. Morgan Jr. and they settled in Livingston in 1960, where they built their life and raised their family. They were happily married for 63 years, until Bill’s death in 2020.
Anne and Bill were founding members of St. Raphael’s parish and Anne was very involved in many activities, including the Rosary Alter Society and the St. Raphael Seniors Group. Anne worked for many years as an office manager of a medical practice in Millburn. She was an avid bridge player, and she and Bill participated for years in multiple local bridge clubs. Anne was also especially fond of the game Rummikub, and loved watching all sporting events on TV. Having grown up in Atlantic City, Anne was passionate about the beach, and proudly boasted about getting in the ocean all 87 years of her life. Above all, Anne’s greatest joy was spending time with her four children, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Bill and is survived by her children and their spouses Bill and Terry Morgan, Greg and Lori Morgan, Joyce and Mark Benson, and Maureen Liddy and Will Textores. She was cherished by her grandchildren; Kate Shain, Bill Morgan, Mary Beth Morgan, Kelly Morgan, Patrick Morgan, Casey Liddy, Jack Liddy and great grandchildren; Finn Morgan, Aven Morgan, Jackson Shain and Ellie Shain.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home in Livingston. Due to construction at St. Raphael’s Church, Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in West Orange on August 17 at 10 AM. Burial will take place afterwards at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anne’s name to St. Raphael’s Church in Livingston.
