Alice M. Ehrich

Visitation will be at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Friday, January 13 from 4 until 8 PM. The Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph’s Church, 44 Benvenue Ave., West Orange, on Saturday at 11:30 AM followed by the entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Born in Newark, Alice was raised in East Orange and was a past President of St. Joseph’s Rosary Altar Society, past President of the Seton Hall Mother’s Auxiliary, a Charter Member of the Augustinian Recollect Ministry and a member of St. Joseph’s Old Timer’s Club. She was an avid bowler and a member of a league for many years.

Alice was a devoted wife and mother and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert, 5 sons, R. Allan and wife Win (Newton) of Whippany, David and his wife Karen (Rose) of Pennsylvania, Douglas and his wife Joan (Glass) of Texas, Christopher and his wife Denise (Cassel) of Cedar Grove and Stephen and his wife KellyAnn (McCann) of Livingston.

Mrs. Ehrich has 10 grandchildren, was predeceased by a grandson and has 6 great grandchildren, and one due in April. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Frank and Robert, 2 sisters, Winifred and Catherine and is survived by 2 sisters, Agnes and Frances.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Seton hall Preparatory School or the Visiting Nurses’ Association of Somerset Hills.
