Albert J. Romano, 84, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Livingston, NJ. Born and raised on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, NY, Albert was a resident of Livingston for the past 56 years. Albert was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He later attended Pratt Institute in New York, then worked for Allied Chemical and Merck Pharmaceutical. He loved to build things, garden, and dance, but most of all this tough guy from the Bronx loved his family.
Albert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan, his parents Salvatore and Michelina Romano, and his sister Francesca Kokoszka. He is survived by his loving children Albert, Joan, John, Stephen, Robert, and James. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Daniella, Joseph, Gionna, Marissa, Gabrielle, Nicole, Kristen, Deidre, Gregg, and James, as well as his sister Leonarda Neilson. We love you Papa!
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 8 from 8:30-10:30AM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11AM at St. Raphael’s Church, Livingston, with entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
