Tyler Gene Smith, 30, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021. The son of Richard Lee and Linda Green Smith, he was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on December 8, 1990. Tyler held an Associates Degree from Collin College in McKinney, Texas and was a skilled welder. Tyler was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Tyler cherished time with family, especially his parents, brothers, sister and his niece, Sloan Olson and nephew, Cameron Olson. He also loved fishing and spend time outdoors. Tyler was outgoing with a ready smile and was always willing to help others.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, his sister, Kristen Olson, of McKinney, Texas and his brothers, Jonathan Smith of McKinney, Texas, Brandon Smith of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Richard Scott Smith of Missoula, Montana. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Richard Wayne Smith and Lucy Smith and Carroll Green and Marian Green.
Funeral services for Tyler will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2pm at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth funeral home located at 5800 West 12th Street Little Rock, AR 72204. Tyler will be laid to rest at the Pinecrest Memorial Park located at 7401 Hwy 5 North Alexander, AR 72002, near his maternal grandmother and grandfather, Carol and Marianne Green.
