Educated in the Little Rock Public School System, she graduated from Dunbar High School. A seamstress, she retired from Kellwood Manufacturing Company.
She accepted Christ as her savior in 1933 at Shiloh Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. C. D. Pettaway. She served faithfully in the choir and was president of B.T.P.U., musician and Sunday School teacher.
Sister Banks was united I holy matrimony to Elder Thomas Banks on July 9, 1950. To this union they were blessed with two sons, Reginald T. Banks and Kenneth Wayne Banks, whom she loved dearly.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; son Kenneth Wayne Banks; brothers, Charles Pruitt, Jr., Bennie L. Pruitt and Arthur L. Pruitt, Sr.; sister, Fannie B. Greene; and her husband, Thomas Banks.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Reginald T. Banks, (Mae Julia); daughter –in-law, Jacquelyn Banks; sister-in-law, Helen Pruitt; granddaughter, Joy Lynn Banks; grandsons, Eliot Thomas Banks and Miles Jordan Banks; great-grandson, Josiah Thomas Parks; nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
