Ramona Opal Ball, 87, of Little Rock, Ark, passed away on September 14, 2015. She was born August 14, 1928 in Russell, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Herman B. Page and Ethel Effie Page. She graduated from Mabelvale High School in 1947 and loved playing on the basketball team. She retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Co as an office manager and worked many years for the Peat, Marwick, and Mitchell Accounting Firm. She was a charter member of Baseline Missionary Baptist Church where she was the church secretary for many years. She enjoyed gardening and traveling the country with Brooks in their RV. She had her own riding lawn mower and would often be seen mowing the yards of friends and relatives in the neighborhood. She loved her granddogs , Piper and Tippi, and always seemed to be sneaking them treats as well as watching them in obedience classes and wondering if they would ever graduate. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband of 64 years, Johnny Brooks Ball, her brothers, William H. Page and Kenneth P. Page, her sisters, Hallie O. Anderson and Anna Isabella Pagnucci. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Whitfield; a brother, Loran D. Page and a host of relatives and friends who will always miss her. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Funeral service will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth with burial following at Pinecrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missionary Baptist Seminary, 5224 Stagecoach Road, Little Rock, Ark, 72204.
