Marion Richard "Dick" Thompson Born in Sweet Home Ar. January 29, 1928 and died September 9, 2015. Preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Thompson. Survived by his children Karen R. Smith, Kristy A. Rocke of Little Rock and Richard L. Thompson of El Paso, along with 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He was a 1946 graduate of Little Rock High. He did a brief service in the Navy, then married JoAnn Jackson in 1949. He then began a career at the Westinghouse Plant in Little Rock for 41 years and obtained the position of Master Mechanic before retiring. His interests included being an Amateur Radio "HAM" Operator - call sign "W5SUB", hunting, fishing, scuba diving, spear fishing, photography, and was a private airplane pilot. He also volunteered with the local Civil Air Patrol after retirement. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.
