Joetta B. Hamzy, 85, of Little Rock, died December 19, 2014. Born March 16, 1929 in El Dorado, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Grover C. Boydston and Etta Anita Red Boydston. A member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, she was a happy, full of life person who enjoyed playing keyboard, her computer and I Phone. She was a retired secretary. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Winfred Hamzy; two brothers, Grover Boydston, Jr. and William Boydston, and a nephew, Doug Boydston. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Lee Hamzy of Little Rock; niece, Rita Ann Lawrence (David), Lonoke; sister-in-law, Clara Holliday, Little Rock; nephews, Wendell Boydston , Kansas City, MO, Sammy Baker, Atlanta, GA and Justin Baker, Lawton, OK; cousin Norma Geaslin, Searcy, AR , and her special friend of almost 60 years, Irene Sims, Little Rock. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
