Jimmie Price “J.P.” Reep, 94, of Little Rock died Sun., Mar. 18, 2018. He was born on April 8, 1923 in Rye, Arkansas to the late Oscar Monroe and Ophie Mae Gavin Reep. He grew up chopping cotton, was the first in his family of 11 siblings to graduate high school, served in the Army Air Corp from 1943-1946 and worked as an installer for Western Electric from 1950-1983. Mr. Reep raised a garden and tended all manner of fruit trees and muscadines in his backyard in southwest Little Rock.
Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, Mr. Reep is survived by his children Patti Nicholas (Dave), Robert Reep and Kelli Reep; sisters, Gay Holloway, Mary Alice Beasley, Carolyn Watson (Richard) and Kay Graves (Joe); and one brother, Kirby (Nancy).
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park at 7401 AR-5 in Alexander, Arkansas on Fri., Mar. 23, 2018. His family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. at his home in southwest Little Rock on Thurs., Mar. 22, 2018.
