Jesse was a faithful Christian who humbly led his family and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served the United States as a Marine during the Korean War. Jesse was a 32nd Degree Master Mason at the Iron Springs Lodge #342. He and his wife Martha enjoyed travelling to numerous Blue Grass festivals. He loved bluegrass music so much that he taught himself to play the fiddle and then began playing with church groups, nursing homes and family and friends. Jesse loved to garden and grow vegetables and provided to many family and friends. He served as a volunteer fire fighter with Arch Street Volunteer Fire Department and was awarded Fireman of the Year in 1980.
