Jeffery “Jef” Mason Pryor was born in Little Rock, Ark., November 14, 1951. He died at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Jef grew up being tormented by his older brother and best friend, Tom. He graduated from Hall High School in 1969. He also attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Jef was a great salesman. That was proven when, although color blind, he was excellent at selling paint and promoted to store manager. Family friend, Ted Dillaha, took Jef under his wing beginning Jef's lifelong career in the food service industry. Most recently, Jef worked for the Idaho Potato Commission. The family thanks IPC for their never-ending support during Jef's illness. Jef enjoyed great music, being outdoors, classic cars, and fixin' stuff. There was nothing he could not tear apart and figure out how to put back together. Friends and family knew if something didn't work, Jef could figure it out. Even in his last days, he was still helping neighbors. Jef loved animals, but would never admit it when his wife or kids brought home a new stray. "Kaya," the family’s latest adoption, was his constant companion this past year. Jef was preceded in death by his father, Tom Pryor III, and stepfather, Robert Andrews. Jef is survived by his wife, Becky (Quertermous) Pryor, of the home; daughter Andrea (Brandon) Kruchinski and granddaughter, Madeline, of Germantown, Ky.; son, Thomas, of Little Rock; mother, Opal (Pryor) Andrews of Sherwood; brother, Tom (Karen) Pryor of Eureka Springs; brother-in-law Ted (Susan) Quertermous; sister-in-law Mary (Keith) Nash; nieces, Lauren (Chad) Hendrix, Rachel Nash and Kelly Quertermous; and nephews Aron Thomas and Tyler Quertermous. Jef had two step-brothers and two step-sisters, as well as many, many other friends and family. The family thanks all who have called, visited, brought food, run errands and prayed for us during this time. Visitation will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Mass will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society or Baptist Health Hospice. An online guestbook is available at griffinleggetthealeyroth.com
