Jeanie F. Berry

Jeanie F. Berry, age 88, of Little Rock, passed away October 8, 2016, at her home. She was born January 13, 1928, in Little Rock, to John P. Fancher and Ruth Fancher (Gurrie). She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 70 years, Wayne Douglas Berry, a son, Rodney F. Berry, and one sister. She was co-owner and operator of The Sandwich Shop in the old University Mall for 10 years. She was also a buyer for MM Cohn. She was a devoted member of Oak Park Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Wayne D. Berry, Jr. “Cubby” of Kansas City, Missouri; granddaughter, Christy Berry; two great-grandchildren, Carrie Smurl and Graham Smurl. Visitation will be Thursday, October 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock. Funeral service will be Friday, October 14, at 1:30 p.m. at Oak Park Baptist Church, 8200 Flintridge Road, Little Rock. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Park Baptist Church.
