James loved cars and being outdoors. He enjoyed floating the river and any activity on the water. He loved his friends and all animals (especially dogs). He enjoyed family and a good barbeque and was a part of a barbeque team. James was a snappy dresser, always smelled nice, and was known for wearing Polo shirts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Russell Bishop and a sister, Cynthia Ann Bishop. James is survived by his wife, Cindy Bishop; his mother, Maxine Willmuth; a sister, Mandy (Scott) Farquhar; a nephew, Will Farquhar; niece, Stacy (Craig) Evans; and two great-nieces, Brooklyn and Piper Evans.
