Henry (Hank) Greenbaum, 78, passed away unexpectedly July 28, 2024. Born June 13, 1946 in a displaced person camp in Waldenburg, Germany to Polish Holocaust survivors, Abram and Nella Greenbaum. Henry and his family immigrated to Little Rock in 1950. After graduating from Little Rock Central High School in 1965, Hank later began a lifelong career in retail liquor sales beginning in 1968. After operating Hank’s Package Store on West 7th Street until its close in 1975, Hank and his brother Ben partnered and operated Economy Liquor Mart in West Little Rock for 40 years before both retired in 2015.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Abram and Nella Greenbaum as well as his nephew, Joshua Greenbaum, all of blessed memory.
Hank is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wiley Jean Glover Greenbaum; three children: Michael (Liz) Greenbaum, Sharon (Adam) Cherepski, Leah (Robbie) Atkins; brothers: David (Polly) Greenbaum, Ben Greenbaum; grandchildren: Kaylee (Greg) Robinson, Jonathan Greenbaum, RJ Keenzel, Hannah Cherepski, Alex Cherepski, Hunter Atkins, Connor Atkins; great-grandson Chance Robinson; nephews: Jason (Jamie) Greenbaum, Abram Greenbaum, Gavin Swango; Nieces: Sarah Greenbaum, Kathryn (Joe) Marsischky, Abby Washkowiak, Aubrey Webb: sister-in-law Elizabeth Glover Waskowiak.
Graveside services will be held Monday, July 29, 2024 at 10:00am at Oakland Jewish Cemetery (2101 Barber Street, Little Rock, AR) under the direction of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home. Rabbi Pinchus Ciment officiating.
Memorials may be made to Lubavitch of Arkansas, Congregation Agudath Achim in Little Rock, Arkansas or the charity of your choice.
