Helen R. Carter passed away May 10, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas close to her home. She was born on March 11, 1931 in Cabot to Merle and Nellie, James, Johnson, of Pine Bluff. She married Gulley Carter on February 10, 1950. Gulley served in the Navy and later became a partner and structural engineer at BCCGBN an architectural and engineering firm in Little Rock. Helen was a housewife and an active PTA member. They had three children, Gary, Greg and Kimberly.
Helen is survived by her son Gary Carter of Bryant and his daughter Natalie Rucando of New Jersey and his step-daughter Cara Frazier of Bryant. Her beloved granddaughter Lindsey Fletcher and grandson Justin Griggs both of North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Kirkham of Saraland, Alabama and many loved great-grandchildren.
Helen will be buried at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot alongside her late husband Gulley. The interment will take place on May 27th at 2 p.m. A celebration dinner will follow at Senor Tequila (Rodney Parham) in Little Rock. Memorials can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or to the Humane Society of Little Rock.
