Eleanor Schweig Gross, Age: 93 of Little Rock died on Friday, December 9, 2016. She was born April 24, 1923 in Little Rock, AR. She was the sixth of seven children born to Fannie and Edgar Schweig. She was predeceased in death by her parents; her beloved husband Carl-married 60 years; and four siblings: Rosalie Forman, Irwin (Buddy) Schweig, Mildred Golden, and Selma Koenig. Eleanor is survived by two sons: Mark Alan Gross of Little Rock; Kenneth Jay Gross and wife Gerri of Los Angeles, CA: Granddaughters: Jennifer Belafsky and husband Ean of Santa Monica, CA; Rebecca Lund and husband Ryan of San Diego, CA: Three Great Granddaughters: Taylor and Chloe Lund and Sienna Belafsky; Sisters: Ruth Itzkowitz and Mary Lou Cohn; Sister-in-law, Cecile Schweig and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members including many great nieces and nephews throughout the country. Along with the love of her family, Eleanor was devoted to her Tuesday afternoon Maj Jong games and took part in them for sixty plus years. She would sometimes extend her tile playing days by adding Thursdays and Sundays to her schedule. She was relentless in working crossword puzzles and continued working the grids until just recently. She also enjoyed solving a good mystery movie or novel. Finally, Eleanor loved going out to dinner- especially on Saturday nights- and for the past several years, she was an active participant in her Saturday Night dinner group.
