Beverly Mae Drew, 89, of Scott, Arkansas, died on August 8, 2022. She was born on September 16, 1932, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Leonard and Rose Diffey. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Bobbie & Betty, son Gregg Galster, and granddaughter Ariel Galster. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Dennis Drew of Scott; her son Mike (Kate) Galster of Scott; son Tracy Galster of Lagrange, Georgia/Hot Springs, Arkansas; her best friend and former daughter-in-law Denise Galster of Lagrange, Georgia; two step-children, Genet Wolf of Annadale, Minnesota, and Shel Drew of Camarillo, California; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.
After rearing her boys in Pine Bluff and tending to some of her grandchildren while they were young, she moved to California where she met Dennis. In addition to being a loving, faithful wife to him, she worked as an au pair for three families. Caring for children and her husband was her life’s work. She loved to travel and was always very fashionable. She requests that everyone wears bright colors and refrains from tears while attending her funeral events.
Beverly converted to Catholicism in 2008 and asks that you pray for the repose of her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed.
A Rosary is scheduled at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth on 12th Street in Little Rock on Friday, August 19, at 6PM. A visitation and wake will immediately follow. Father Scott Gardner, SSPX, will celebrate a Traditional Latin Requiem Mass at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Chapel in Bryant, Arkansas, at 11AM on Saturday, August 20, immediately followed by interment at Rest Hills Cemetery in North Little Rock.
Please do not send flowers, instead send in memoriam donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
