Wayne D. Baldwin

Wayne was born on February 20, 1946 in Burlington, NC. He spent a large portion of his life in Asheboro, NC, and moved to North Myrtle Beach later in life.

He is survived by his wife Anita and his children Jason Baldwin (Tammy), Holly Yates (Martin) and Jay Yates (Casey). He is also survived by his loving brothers and sisters, Bobby Baldwin (Patrice), Sherry Scarlett (Bill), Yvonne Ross (Tim) and Mitch Price.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mac and Mae Baldwin of Burlington NC, his son Jeremy Lee Baldwin and his daughter Jordan Whitney Baldwin.

He was a graduate of Williams High School in Burlington, NC and obtained a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. He retired from Belk as a Merchandise Manager and Vesture Corporation as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Wayne served as President of the OD Shag Club and was the former President of the Greater Triad Shag Club.

He enjoyed playing golf, shag dancing, and socializing with a multitude of great friends. He was an avid sports fan, following the University of Alabama football, and University of North Carolina basketball. Wayne never met a stranger and was very generous to those who served the community and those less fortunate.

Family and friends are invited to attend a service honoring Wayne on September 29, 2023 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC 29566 at 1pm EST.
