Eddie was born on January 12, 1960 in Washington D.C. Son of Dolores (Harler) Hill Woody and Bob Woody and the late Norman Thomas Hill.
He has worked in the parts department at The Harley Shop at the beach. This was his favorite job. Most recently he worked at Food Lion in longs.
Opossum was a member of the Tarnished Souls Motorcycle club. They have done several charity events raising money for local residents, Teen Angels, Kind Keepers no kill shelter and The Veterans Welcome Home Center in Little River. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Eddie loved his club brothers. They all were his family. I am certain that he revved up his Harley, riding into heavens gates, proclaiming… “Hey everyone, it's been one hell of a ride.”
He enjoyed hunting and fishing but riding his motorcycle was where he found pure happiness. The freedom on the roads, beard blowing in his face and just putting miles in without a set destination was where Eddie chose to be. He never met a stranger. His infectious smile brightened up any room he walked into. He always had time for a firm handshake, pat on the back and a hey, how are you doing conversation. He lived his life without regrets and did it his way.
He was very proud of his sons and loved them unconditionally. Eddie and I had a relationship like no other. We were soulmates. He was loyal, respectful, kind and had a heart of gold. He loved his furbabies.
Eddie will be remembered as a good man, the old school biker guy that was always there for his brothers. He loved hard, He lived hard and rode hard. Opossum will enjoy riding with those angels on heavens gold roads.
