Born and raised in Waterbury, CT, on April 13, 1949, Rose became a talented hairdresser and owned her salon in Waterbury for many years. She was beloved by her clients and friends alike. Rose had a remarkable ability to bring warmth and joy to all around her, professionally and personally.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas Richardson of Longs, SC, and her loving daughter, Ashley (Richardson) Galla, along with her husband, Jonathan Galla, of Floral Park, NY. She took great pride and joy in her grandchildren, Hayes, Yvette (Yvie), and Nolan Galla, whom she adored and doted on. Rose was the cherished sister of Robert Pichette and his wife, Joyce, of Thomaston, CT, Denise Greene, and her late husband, Edward Greene, of Longs, SC, and Arthur Pichette of Naugatuck, CT. She was predeceased by her brother, Roland Pichette, and her parents, Yvette and Irving Pichette of Waterbury, CT.
Rose’s greatest passion was her family, with her grandchildren being the true light of her life. Renowned for her warm hospitality, Rose delighted in entertaining and was a talented cook. Whether preparing for a visit from her beloved grandkids or hosting gatherings with family and friends, she found joy in making everyone feel welcome and well cared for.
A selfless woman, Rose found fulfillment in caring for others, often putting their needs before her own. Her heart was filled with happiness and optimism, and she approached every situation with grace, seldom complaining, as she never wanted to burden anyone. Rose's love for her family and friends ran deep, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and joy.
Rose will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
