Robert Charles Ruggiero

Robert (Bob) Charles Ruggiero, age 78, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved family at his side on Saturday, October 31st, 2020. Bob was born on October 16, 1942, in Waterbury, Connecticut, to his parents Leopoldo Anselmo and Adelena D’Mato Ruggiero.

Bob spent most of his life in sales, most notably dealing with industrial and commercial lighting. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed both college and professional sports, especially basketball and football.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Patricia Ruggiero; his children, Robert David Ruggiero; Michele (James) Mesko; Dayna (Steven) Morris; his stepchildren, Mark Morgenstern; Christopher (Vanessa) Morgenstern; and Aimee Curry; 7 grandchildren, Steven Jr., Elizabeth and Alysse Morris; Samantha Curry; Ronald Morgenstern, Cade Morgenstern, and Jacob Reyes; his sisters, Elaine (late Rowland) Raeburn; and Leona (Gary) Hungerford; his niece, Joan (David) Holland; his nephews Jim (Julie) Raeburn; Dennis (Tina) Hamilton; and William (Carmia Caesar) Hamilton. Bob is also survived by his loving mother in-law, Joyce (late Ray) LaFountain; his brother and sisters in-law, Joe (Christine) Pataranick; Susan Pataranick; Roberta Terpening; and Michelle (Jim) Sweeting.

Bob is preceded in death by his sister and brother in-law, Norma and William Sullivan; and a niece, Pamela Raeburn.
