Robert Anthony Gerken, age 80, passed away January 22, 2016.
He was born July 14, 1935 in Elmira, NY to the late George and Angela Gorman Gerken
Mr. Gerken is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn; a son, Timothy; and a daughter Sue and her husband Bill Farrell.
Robert was an army veteran who also served in the merchant marines. Originally from Kings Park NY, Robert was an avid golfer and retired to N. Myrtle Beach where he lived with his wife for the last 20 years.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Embrace Hospice for their loving help during this time.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at a later date at Tidewater Community Center in N. Myrtle Beach.
