Ralph E. “Bubby” Vereen, 71, native of Cherry Grove Beach, residing in Murrells Inlet and Colorado, before returning home to his beloved Cherry Grove Beach in 2002. He passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at his home.
Born on May 20, 1951, in Conway, SC, he was the son of the late John L. “Happy” and Mary Margaret “Mullet” McLauchlin Vereen.
Survivors include his daughter, Lauren B. Vereen; brother, Johnnie L. Vereen, Jr. and his wife Laurie; life-long friend, Hank Thomas; grandchildren, Phoenix Thompkins, Asa and Cadence Blake and Nate Shelly; two great-grandchildren, Remi and Ezra Singleton; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Rosa Parker Vereen, and one sister, Anne Sylvia Vereen.
