After High School, he served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Wisconsin BB-64 during the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he worked at Philadelphia Electric Company from 1955 to1992. He retired and moved to South Carolina.
He lived his life to the fullest. Motorcycles, boats, and golf were his passions. He also found time to mentor younger people. He married Charlotte (Kunst) Shore who preceded him into the afterlife in 1998. He leaves behind their son Robert and his wife Donna. He has 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. He remarried Barbara Shore and they enjoyed 20 plus years of life together. She took good care of him until his end. In closing, I say “Fair winds and following seas, rest easy we have the watch.”
A celebration of life will be held on a later date in the spring.
