He was surrounded by his immediate family at McLeod Seacoast Hospital at the time of his passing. Born on April 21, 1942, in Waterbury, CT, he was the son of the late John and Phyllis Moschella Migliorisi.
John was a man of many passions, talents, and a deep love for his family. He married his beloved wife, Claire Baker, on September 21, 1963, and together they raised a family centered on love and support. John is survived by Claire, his wife of 61 years; his daughter, Rhonda Marie Geffert (James Joseph Geffert); his son, John Chad Migliorisi (Debra); and his four grandchildren, Morgan Migliorisi, Raeanne Marie Lanphier (Thomas Penfield Lanphier), Matthew Migliorisi, and Jenna Marie Geffert. He deeply cherished his grandchildren and took great pride in sharing their accomplishments with friends and family. He also leaves behind his sister, Margaret Caruso (Jack Caruso), and his brother, Robert Migliorisi.
A man of diverse interests, John’s love for life extended to many hobbies and passions. He was an avid gardener, taking great pride in his flowers and plants. His gardens were a reflection of his nurturing nature and his appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. John was also a golfer, spending many hours on the course with his friends and family.
Music was another great love of John's life. He was a talented piano player with a lifelong appreciation for all kinds of music. His passion for music led him to open "Looney Tunes," a record store in Watertown, CT, where he connected with countless music lovers over the years.
In his professional life, John began his career in cosmetology in Waterbury, CT, managing two salons for the renowned Jose Francisco. He later partnered with his brother-in-law, Jack Caruso, to open Jonathan’s salon in Watertown. The salon became a staple in the community, serving generations of loyal clients for over 50 years.
After retiring, John and Claire embraced the life of “snowbirds,” splitting their time between Surprise, AZ, and Watertown, CT. In 2023, they followed their daughter to South Carolina and made their home in Little River, where they enjoyed the warmth of family and new beginnings.
John’s legacy is one of love—love for his family, his friends, and his many passions. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
