Jerry Loy Browning

Jerry Loy Browning, 60, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. Born in El Monte, CA, on July 10, 1962, Jerry was the son of Carol Lee Pritchett and the late Gerald Lee Browning.

On May 14, 1988, in La Masa, CA, Jerry married Bridgette Reneé Russ. They lived in Riverside, California with their two daughters, Jamie and Tamra until his in-laws encouraged them to move to Longs, SC in July 2019. Jerry was a Pool Attendant at Sun Communities (formerly Carolina Pines RV Resort) in Conway, SC until his recent illness.

A lover of the outdoors, Jerry enjoyed fishing, camping, and other outdoor activities. He used his skillful hands to create beautiful woodworking pieces. His handy-man skills were greatly appreciated, as they were infamously known as “Jerry-Riggin” things that were broken. Spending time with his family were most important and those memories will forever be treasured.

In addition to his wife of almost 35 years, Reneé; Jerry was endured by his two children, Jamie and Tamra Browning; his mother, Carol Lee Pritchett; and sister, Keri Browning. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Patricia Russ. His father, Gerald Lee Browning and father-in-law, Lawrence “Larry” Russ, along with his sister Linda Browning, brother Brian Browning, and twin brother Jim Browning preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens.
