James B. Stewart, 78, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, after declining health for several years, at Embrace Hospice House, Myrtle Beach, SC.
Born on May 4,1946 in Durham, NC, he was the son of the late Garland B. and Pansy C. Upchurch Stewart.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Catherine, with whom he loved to Shag; one daughter, Jennifer Stewart; one sister, Catherine S. Gilette; and two granddaughters, Destiny and Pansy.
Services will be private with the family.
