Harlan Wayne Hedrick

Harlan “Wayne” Hedrick, 76, formerly of Albemarle, NC, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at his home in Little River, SC, surrounded by his family. Born on November 25, 1946 in Troy, NC, he was a son of the late Harlan William and Mary Morris Hedrick.

Surviving are his children, Phillip Hedrick (Kathryn) of Raleigh, NC, Tara Secondi (William) of Harrisburg, NC, William Hedrick (Casey) of Little River, SC; grandchildren, Logan, Harlan, Harper and Gus Hedrick and Matthew and Andrew Secondi; and brother, Gene Hedrick. In addition to his beloved parents Harlan and Mary Hedrick, Wayne is preceded in death by his brothers, Tony and Stan Hedrick.

Wayne was the proud owner of Kleen Kar Sales since 1980. Some of his most favorite pastimes were fishing and hunting. In his spare time he could always be found in the woods waiting on that big buck or out on his boat reeling in as many fish as he could.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Parker Memorial Baptist Church, 49403 Parker Memorial Road, Richfield, NC. Pastor Kay Eckstein will officiate. The family will receive friends and family from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to McLeod Health and Hospice or Parker Memorial Baptist Church.
