Eric P. Rion

Eric P. Rion, 35, passed away February 28, 2023 at his home.

Born on November 26, 1987 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of Christie Smith and Michael Rion.

Eric will always be remembered for his sweet soul and kind heart. Deep down, he loved everyone and wanted to be of help. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Rest in Peace, Eric.

Other than his parents and stepfather Clark Gates, Eric is survived by his wife, Lindsey Hines Rion, two children, Tucker and Sullivan Rion; one brother, Brandon Rion (Stephanie); aunt, Sandee Brown (Richard); grandparents, Patsy and Billy Smith; cousins, Savanna Brown Ford (Rivers) and Olivia Brown; nieces and nephew, Sawyer, Blakely and Bradley; step siblings, Ashley, Kayleigh, and Zachary; and many extended family members.

A Celebration of Eric's life will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Waterbrook Community Church, 2310 Hwy 9 E., Suite 100 & 107, Longs, SC.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to New Directions Addictions Scholarship. This scholarship helps give people a chance at life by sending them to treatment centers.
