Christine, my heart hurts for you and your family.  Sending you many prayers for peace and comfort.  Your Mom sounds like a very special lady who provided lots of wonderful memories for you to hang on to forever!

I remember, Bette's smile, her great stories of her loving family. I remember, Bette, at the meetings of, American Legion 503 Auxiliary at the fire house, thru all the many outings, events, that she organized, with her great smile, to the great home of American Legion 503, now. Bette, your    memories, will be cherished forever. I remember Bette's sign off on the recording of her phone. GOD BLESS AMERICA and all the ships at Sea.   GOD BLESS you JIM, & all your FAMILY.

I was so sorry to hear about Aunt Bette ....especially after we just reacquainted on Facebook.  The Quigley family was a big part of my life growing up in Brooklyn with such nice memories of good times. This came as such sad news. I can't even imagine not shouting "Good evening Quigleys" when I would see them. If ever there were role models I would like my relationship to be, it would be theirs. I am so sorry for your loss. May God watch over & comfort all of you.

The exec. board and members of the Calabash Elks Ladies Auxiliary send our heartfelt condolences  and love to Jim and his family.  Bette was a beloved mentor and wonderful role model for all of us. We are truly saddened to lose her; she will be missed by us all.

What can I say.....Bette was my most faithful "SHIP-LOVER"
She wanted to know everything...about every ship that ever sailed
the ocean.  First....had to get the "good candy" out....then...we proceeded
to plan all of her trips.  Jim was always the one we had to convince.  This has gone on for about twenty years.  Bette would have cruised every week
if she could have.  She'd oooh and ah....at all of the new ships as they came out.  I had told her daughter Maureen....I am not the expert....her MOM was
and that I believed Bette kept the cruise book under her pillow.
She always dazzled onboard the ship with her wonderful style and happiness.
Yes...she will be sorely missed....still-knowing she had pure faith in our church and GOD....she is now in his hands watching down at us.
The one thing we all know being Catholics...It is a hard religion to live by...but an easy one to die by....as we get a quick ticket to the Pearly Gates.
Well done ....good and Faithful Servant.

I remember your mom - even though it has been awhile - but the last few days have had me remembering the old days when we were kids and we would go and catch fireflies, and I remember being in your backyard in Windsor Terrace and my dad playing Simon Says, and your mom yelling at him telling him he was cheating.
