Elizabeth was born on July 8, 1938 in the Bronx, New York and was the daughter of John and Beatrice Crehan Fitzgerald.
Elizabeth excelled in a career of retail administration and real estate, once she retired. She relocated to North Myrtle Beach in 2005. Elizabeth enjoyed the theatre and traveling, especially her trip to Ireland, as well as many other foreign countries. She enjoyed time with her beloved faithful, loyal and loving dogs who preceded her in death.
Elizabeth’s love for others and her willingness to serve was apparent in every aspect of her life. Her passion was serving as a volunteer with her church, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Lower Cape Fear Hospice (formerly Mercy Care), Mobile Meals of Horry County, Helping Hands, Atlantic Stage and the Theatre of the Republic.
Elizabeth is survived by two sisters and one brother, all of New York; Mary Romano; Irene Bambrick; and John Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her parents. Elizabeth leaves behind many special friends that were a blessing in her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, North Myrtle Beach. The service will be livestreamed via Lee Funeral Home Facebook.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
