My wife, Ginny, and I were sorry to hear of Chris's passing.  I knew Chris when he was in high school and coached him in football.  He was a gifted athlete and a pleasure to coach.  Players like Chris make coaching so rewarding.   Chris's loss  makes the world a smaller place.  Our heartfelt wishes and I'm sure all those who played as his teammates are saddened as well.
 

My prayers to Chris's family and friends.  I had the pleasure working with Chris at Bryant Restaurants, Inc.  He will be missed. 

When he was honored last year for his athletic performance in school we were so happy to see him. He was also, since he was a boy, such a happy, sweet, kind, intelligent and thoughtful soul. Whenever we were with him we saw his great humor, his happiness, his joy with his family, and that is how we always think of him. We are so truly and very sorry for this great loss, and send our deepest sympathy and love.

My deepest sympathies to the Graney family. I have fond memories of Chris hanging out at our house or on the playground across from our house in the neighborhood we grew up in. All of us kids growing up in that neighborhood had some great times together.  May Chris' family and friends hang on to the many memories that you have of him. My thoughts and prayers are with you .. Mr. and Mrs. Graney, and Rick through this very difficult time. May you feel God's love and peace.

Chris, you were a treasure God gave us for too short a time. You were a good son and a good man, generous and loving always. Family was the most important thing in your life. Your going has left a hole in our lives that can never be filled while we live on this earth. We love you so much Chris. We miss you and your beautiful soul. Love Mom, Dad, and Rick.

I was so sorry to hear about Chris.  I remember him as a strong individual and one of Kev's best friends.  Pat and Louie I am sorry for your loss, and wish I could be there to support you as you supported us with Af.  Know that you are loved.  This will be hard on your parents, Chris.  So when you are able to,  send them a sign that all is well.  Rest in peace Chris, you were a great guy and will be remembered well.

I will always remember Chris and his GIANT smile, as a late arrival in Sidney and the class of 85, he always made me feel welcome. He was a consumate jokester, but  also always kind to people.  My condolences to his family. May you find comfort in the memories of him.

My heart is heavy as I read about Chris passing away. Chris and I were from the class of 1985. He was the tall, talented basketball player and I was the short cheerleader cheering him on. We had art class together and while he wasn’t that talkative (at least in art class) his character always stood out. Chris was such a humble and caring person. I hate that he is gone. He was such a big part of our making our class a great one and had an impact on so many. He was a very special person  and will be greatly missed.

Despite his talents he was always humble and happy to help others improve themselves and their performance. He was a team player who was tough but also sensitive and caring about others.  I wish for Peace for him and his family. 

My heart is breaking because you made a difference in my life and we lived this close and could of have made some memories. I love you and respect you Chris you are a great person. We share some time and space together in a little town but we had conversations that were as big and meaningful as the universe. You never left my memory or my hope to show you that I made it out of my circumstances and went on trying to make the world a better place. You go with God now and you can have those conversations with Jesus. Thanks for sharing yourself with me , you were an inspiration.  


My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Many childhood memories of playing ball in the park in our neighborhood.  I was so glad to have been able to catchup some with Chris on the weekend of his induction.

Dearest Chloe:  Your Dad was Not Only Your Hero and Best Friend but he was so Very Kind to All of Us.  Coming to Hospital when we were losing Miss Sandra and helping Us Place Her in Her Final Resting Place.  That takes a Heart of Gold and I'm sure he passed that wonderful trait on to you.  As we know, no matter how hard it is to let go of someone We Love - They Never Truly Leave Us.  He will send you signs that he is at Peace and I'm sure Miss Sandra will show him the ropes.  Wish We could be there to show You All of the Love We have for You & Your Mom.  Huge Hugs Beautiful Girl.....

It’s with shock and sadness I react to the news that Chris has passed away. 

In 2017, Chris was voted and inducted into his high school’s sports Hall of Fame. As chairman., I get to write the biographies of each inductee.  This allowed me to bring our alumni up to date on the 30 years since his graduation. 

He was so proud to be the dad to Chloe. He minimized his athletic resume which showed me a lot. Having his dad induct him was also a source of pride for Chris. I’m so glad he made the most of that event and its memories.  

My sympathies to the family. And may he Rest In Peace.

I remember a little boy,so smart with a big smile. I remember a teenager with exceptional athletic abilities. I remember the big hearted adult he became. So glad I was able to see him at the sports banquet where he was recently honored. Glad for the chance to tell him I loved him. Rest in peace dear nephew and know that you are well loved by many.
