Beverly was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to James Edward Fairweather and Marguerite Alma (Barker) Fairweather. She was an active member of the shag dancing community in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and in Richmond, Virginia, where she and her husband taught shag for over 20 years. She was also an active member of Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church and her love for God touched many. As the family historian, she worked diligently to build and hold on to her family’s legacy. Her spirit, energy, and wisdom will be missed by many.

Lastly, she leaves many special friends that were such a blessing in her life. She was preceded in death by her mother Margueritte, her father James, and a daughter, Lisa Stanton.
