Born on April 10th, 1954, in Tracey California, Rod grew up with his siblings Judy Spann, Jane Wagenseller (Dave) and his mother Delores Burch and father Roy Burch.
Rod was married to the love of his life, Kerry Burch, for 22 wonderful years. Together, they built a life centered on family and shared joy. He was a proud father to six children: Ryan Morrow (Heather), Eric Morrow (Terri), Christy Stapleton, Anne Graunke (Jason), Joseph Petruczenko, and Edward Petruczenko (Megan). His deep love extended to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.
Rod found joy in the simple yet meaningful pleasures of life. An avid golfer, he could often be found on the greens, reveling in the challenge of the game and the camaraderie it brought. A skilled craftsman, Rod also took great pride in building homes, leaving behind structures as strong and enduring as the relationships he cultivated. He had a special fondness for watching Westerns, a pastime that mirrored his love for timeless tales of resilience and character.
Rod’s warmth, dedication, and humor touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who loved him.
Visitation to celebrate Rod’s life will be held on December 17th from 4pm to 8pm at Blake Lamb Funeral Home 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532. A memorial service will be held December 18th at 11am at Blake Lamb funeral home, where we will gather to share memories and honor his legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Parkinson's Foundation which makes life better for people with Parkinson's disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure.
