Jane Connell

Jane Ann Connell (nee Tillotson) passed away on Tuesday November 28th in Lisle, Illinois at the age of 71. Jane was born on May 23, 1952 in Chicago to her parents Helen and Edmund Tillotson. They lived on the south side in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. Later the family moved to Woodridge, Illinois where Jane attended Benet Academy and met husband John (Chip) Connell. After dating for a few years, they were married in October of 1972. They recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. Jane spent most of her working career at St. Joan of Arc School where she was the Technology Coordinator working with all grades. Jane spent 35 years at St. Joan of Arc. Jane and Chip raised three wonderful boys, John Ryan, Evan and Patrick Connell.

Jane was preceded in death by her father Edmund Tillotson, brother Edmund C. Tillotson and mother Helen Tillotson.

Jane leaves behind husband John (Chip) Connell, their sons John Ryan (Marianne), Evan Patrick (Amanda) and Patrick Brian (Ashley), grandsons John Drew and Sean Joseph Connell, sister-in-law Deborah Mead, nephew Gordon (Kimberly) Tillotson. Additionally; Kathy (Jim) Ryan, Maureen (Phil) Reicher, Kelly (Pat) Connell, Tim (Sharon) Connell, Susie (Brian) Hannigam, Tom (Julie) Connell, Durah (Steve) Corcoran.

Friends and family will gather for a wake for Jane that will be held Monday, December 4th at Blake Lamb Funeral Home in Lisle, Illinois from 4 - 8 pm. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday December 5th at St. Joan of Arc Church in Lisle, Illinois. A visitation will be held before the mass (at St. Joan of Arc Church) from 10-11am with the funeral mass to follow. Jane will be laid to rest at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Naperville, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to the West Suburban Humane Society in Downers Grove, Illinois.
